Vintage Coffee/Pepper Grinder #29
Vintage Coffee/Pepper Grinder #29
Since 1840 (long before they became car manufacturers) Peugeot have been making beautiful, functional and stylish coffee grinders. Famous for their technical know-how and employing mechanical moving parts made of steel from Hérimoncourt where Peugeot began and beechwood from the French-Comté region these vintage coffee grinders are as lovely as they are useful.
They make a brilliant, ornamental and unique addition to the kitchen and - here at Pascale we like to use them as pepper grinders too.
Pascale and her brother Dominic source the coffee grinders from a specialist collector in Normandy in the northwest of France.
Guillaume refurbishes them completely, overhauling the mechanical moving parts and the main body either painting, oiling or enamelling the wood and steel.
They arrive in Norwich via Paris where Dominic lives looking as lively and decorative as they did when they were made 60, 70 or even 100 years ago.
No two are the same and they make a wonderful and unique gift.
