These beautiful sea sponges come in three different sizes, Unbleached and completely natural, sea sponges are highly absorbent and contain enzymes that inhibit mould and bacteria growth. If correctly looked after (rinsed and air dried) they will last years providing a much better and beautiful alternative to plastic based sponges.
How the sponges are collected: The stem is cut in a specific place to promote growth, (much like pruning a bush or a tree). This is done three times to harvest and then it's left to bloom for the rest of it's lifespan. The cutting provides the sponge with more resilience & strength.
