Maja Sten studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Konstfack in Stockholm before completing a Master’s degree in Communication Art and Design at the Royal College of Art in London.

She has worked as a freelance illustrator across advertising, magazines, wallpaper, packaging and pattern design. Her clients include Svenskt Tenn and Korean design company Millimetermilligram. Maja has also created three-dimensional work and public art projects for schools in Stockholm.

Her work is inspired by a fascination with flora and fauna, which runs throughout her detailed, expressive illustrations.
