Susan Bottrell is an American-French artist living and working in Paris. Her work weaves the themes of memory and time. From her paintings she has created luxurious silk scarves to make beautiful, wearable pieces of art.
Time Was All I Wanted' are the words of the poet Emily Dickinson that Susan Bottrell used to make this painting. “I love the idea of you wearing this, because it’s a work of art that holds a universal message. The message is apparent only when the scarf is unfolded, but it’s always there: time was all I wanted.”
IVRE Paris is really an extension of Susan's studio practice. For her, making art is a way of making meaning, out of what she sees, feels and experiences in life.
