Elsie Scarf - Light Small

The Elsie scarf, with its very pretty, Matisse style floral motif is based on a 19th century french print. The design has been digitally manipulated and blown up so has the  distinction of managing to look both modern and charmingly vintage. It is made in Tapis Noir's signature  fabric, a mix of cotton and silk.

Super soft and light as air it folds down brilliantly so is not at all bulky.

We love to wear them either in a loose 'cowboy' style or folded in on itself till it's narrow and then wound round the neck twice and tied in a little knot like a true Parisienne.

The hem is rolled and sewn by hand – a time-intensive process that gives the scarf a beautiful finish.

The palette of chalky soft pinks, ochres and blues reminds us of an impressionist pastel drawing.
